A-Cold-Wall is founded by the jack-of-all-trades Samuel Ross, after he was discovered and promoted by a certain Virgil Abloh. Ross is a graphic designer, designer, illustrator, stylist and, since 2015, fashion label founder – and at just 24 years old. The inspirations are, like Ross himself, very complex: A-Cold-Wall creates modern menswear inspired by the British class system, community, globalization, architecture, industrial design and very much modernity. Or more pointedly, at A-Cold-Wall, British working-class uniforms meet London tailoring, which in turn clash with modern techwear.
A-Cold-Wall pieces, such as shorts, crewnecks, T-shirts, hoodies, shirts and vests, all pay homage to design and fashion craftsmanship with special attention to materials and technology. The brand receives increased attention in 2017 and 2018 thanks to the collaboration with NIKE, in which the NIKE Air Force 1 as well as the Zoom Vomero +5 are redesigned.
