In 1958 Saucony made a game-changing introduction with the 7446 Spike, which was made from light kangaroo leather – however, this was just the beginning as ten years later the company relocated to Cambridge in Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, and it was only then that Saucony really got going. Running was becoming increasingly popular, before finally reaching its peak in the 1970s, and Saucony quickly progressed from an insider tip to one of the most popular manufacturers there was.
