Since 2002 solebox has been a constant in the ever-changing world of sneakers and street style and has always remained true to its own pace. This steady evolution has organically lead to the opening of the „store of the future“ in 2014.
Timeless Future
Besides as premium selection of timeless classics and technically progressive models, visitors of the store on Nürnberger Straße will also encounter the “Solebot” – a robot which hands out the desired pair fully automatically.
The inspiration behind the design concept was to imitate the look known from an industrial warehouse. Executed on every detail – the balustrade mimics an industrial cage while the counter is made off an illuminated high rise rack. Obviously the secret heart of the store, the actual stock, couldn’t just be any regular storage area. Instead of hiding it behind a wall, the room, which hosts heat kept in rolling bulk shelves, is separated by a glass panel that allows a look at some of soleboxes’ grails
