SOLEBOX MUNICHChoosing to open up its second store in Munich isn’t accidental. While the Berlin based solebox nods towards the future with the well-known “Solebot”, the one in Munich stands for something that abounds in “Minga” – tradition. The mirrored corridor almost feels like a time travel portal as it leads to an agedly, former wine cellar.
SNEAKER TRADITIONWhile the subject has changed, the restored vault still lives on through the collectors’ passion although sneakers have replaced noble drops. History surrounds the shelves made off 200 year old wood as well as the floor tiles from France.
The oil paintings are just as authentic, although they got a little tuning – the portrayed figures were equipped with very contemporary footwear. The Solebox Munich stands for state-of-the-art street culture not least represented by the specifically designed coat of arms.
